Die Förderung des Exzellenzclusters »Bild Wissen Gestaltung« durch die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft endete am 31.12.2018. Daher entsprechen die Angaben zum Forschungsprogramm und zu den Mitarbeiter_innen dem Stand von Dezember 2018. In den Rubriken Publikationen und Veranstaltungen wird die Seite bis zum Frühjahr 2019 aktualisiert, um die Ergebnisse von »Bild Wissen Gestaltung«, die aus Mitteln des Exzellenzclusters finanziert wurden, aber erst in 2019 realisiert werden, vollständig abzubilden.

Der Chemiker und Materialforscher John Dunlop ist seit 2008 Arbeitsgruppenleiter in der Abteilung Biomaterialien am Max-Planck Institut für Kolloid- und Grenzflächenforschung.
