Florian Berger works as lecturer for Game Programming at the University
of Applied Sciences Europe (UE Germany) in Berlin.

He studied Media Technology in Leipzig and has been investigating
serious games and game-based learning at the University of Education
Weingarten since 2008. His research interests in the context of his
current doctoral studies are adaptivity and personalisation in digital
educational games.

From 2010 to 2011 he was a scholarship recipient of the MFG Stiftung
Baden-Württemberg foundation, from 2011 to 2012 he was awarded a DAAD
grant for the post of visiting scholar at the »Center for Computer Games
Research« of the ITU Copenhagen.

In 2011 he initiated the annual »GameCamp Berlin«, a unique Europe-wide
summit for young researchers specialising in the field of games.

Since June 2017 he has been in charge of didactics and technology at the
»Raketen-Wissenschaft« initiative who aims at building an accessible
online teaching platform.
