Hanna Gieseler comes from the University of Göttingen, where she gained her BSc in Geography. She is continuing her studies with a Master’s in Urban Geographies at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, which she started in the winter semester 2017. She specialised in human geography during her undergraduate studies and focused on spatial perception, spatial organisation and spatial conflicts.
She wants to build on her undergraduate research on spatial perception and expand it into an interdisciplinary project linking psychology and geography. As a member of the theme class »Nature of Perception – Art of Illusion«, she plans to investigate the affects linked to places and hotspots under Christophe Blaison’s supervision and is conducting map-based surveys as part of this.
