Kathrin Friedrich studied Media, Law and Sociology at the Philipps-Universität Marburg. From June 2009 to April 2013, she worked as a research associate at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. In the context of the BMBF collaborative research project »Embodied Information« she conducted research on computer-aided design and graphical notations in synthetic biology. Her Ph.D. project explores the multilayered interplay of digital media technologies and radiological diagnostics using the example of computed tomography.
