Nadine Lange majored in Art and the History of the Image as well as Spanish Philology at Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She completed her Master’s degree with a thesis on the fibre series »Abakans« (1969-1972) by the Polish artist Magdalena Abakanowicz. Continuing along the same lines, her current research interest lies in the properties and aesthetics of textiles, in particular the textile art of the 20th century in Eastern Europe.
Since 2012 she has been working for the research training group »Bildakt und Verkörperung« (now the project »Bildakt«). Alongside her studies she gained experience in cultural institutions including the culture and education department of UNESCO in Vienna.
