Nikita Hock studied Philosophy Religion Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, as well as Cultural Theory and History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His research interests include the relationship between symbolic practices, material objects, and religious spaces, and design in the investigation practices within media culture studies. In his capacity as a scientific investigator, Nikita Hock facilitates the reciprocal integration between the Cluster of Excellence’s Gestaltung-oriented research and the media culture research at the Institut für Kulturwissenschaften of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

In the Interdisciplinary Laboratory, he assists projects that require audio technology and the strategic implementation of a central infrastructure for media equipment, bridging the Cluster of Excellence with the Institut für Kulturwissenschaften and the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Kulturtechnik. Additionally, he assists in the publication of the Cluster’s research results via audio-communications (monthly radio program »Kulturwelle« and related podcasts), and is responsible for the integration of the Cluster’s research with the research-oriented media culture curriculum of the Institut für Kulturwissenschaft.
