Pablo Schneider is a research associate on the project »Picture Act« with a focus on morale and emotionality in the art of the Early Modern period.
Pablo Schneider majored in History of Art and History at the University of Hamburg. Subsequently he worked as a curator for the graphic collection of the Evangelische Akademie Hamburg. In 2007 he was awarded a doctorate at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His dissertation concerned the connections between art, representation and science in Versailles during the time of Louis XIV. Since 2001 he has worked at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His current research project addresses the significance of morale and emotionality for the reception of early modern pictures.
