Robert Gaschler

Robert Gaschler has been working as an associate scholar in the group »Volition und Motivation« within the research area Mind & Brain since August 2010. In November 2012 he was appointed Assistant Professor of General Psychology (learning, motivation, emotion) at the University of Koblenz and Landau. He studied psychology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and completed his Ph.D. at the International Max Planck Research School on the Life Course. His postdoctoral main research interest is directed towards the question of how individuals implement verbal instructions into acts. From 2012 to 2015, he was Assistant Professor of General Psychology (learning, motivation and emotion) at the University of Koblenz and Landau (Landau Campus). He has been Professor of General Psychology (learning, motivation and emotion) at the FernUniversität in Hagen since April 2015.

Learning and controlling activity; transforming instructions into actions; interaction of automatic learning processes and volitional processes; triggers of changes in strategies and the transformation of neural representations of stimulus features with corresponding influences on action.
