Saskia Quené has assisted Prof. Dr. Claudia Blümle in her work on the history and theory of forms at the Institute for the History of Art and the Image (IKB) of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. In 2013 she completed her B.A. in History of Art with a thesis on Maurice Merleau-Ponty's Phänomenologie der Wahrnehmung as the object of artistic conception in works by Barnett Newman, Richard Serra and Robert Irwin. There followed a period of activity as project manager for Kaleidscop, an ensemble of soloists. During her B.A. studies, she managed the orchestra office at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and worked for music festivals in Devon, Berlin and Basel. She was an intern at Christie's Amsterdam, Galerie cubus-m and Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart. Since 2012, Saskia Quené has been Director of Musische Gesellschaft e.V.. At the Hessische Schülerakademie für die Oberstufe (a sixth form academy) she has taught History of Art (since 2012), Philosophy (since 2013) and musicology (since 2014). She is studying for a Master's degree at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
