In collaboration with the Professional School of Education (PSE) and the HUmanities Lab, based within the school, the Interdisciplinary Laboratory develops practical modules for school pupils.
Within this framework, the project »The Anthropocene Kitchen« has been adapting the science comic »Eating Anthropocene. Curd Rice, Bienenstich and a Pinch of Phosphorus – Around the World in Ten Dishes« for use in the classroom since the start of 2016. The comic addresses global material flows and the issue of food. This includes developing a teachers’ handout and supporting its use in Berlin Schools. The HUmanities Lab is assisting the project with its expertise in didactics and by providing funding for a student member of staff.
The programme is in development, and collaborations with other Cluster research projects are planned.
