Tina Aschenbach completed her bachelor's at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and has stayed at the university for her Master's in "Organismic Biology and Evolution". She is currently working on her master's dissertation in the "Morphology and History of Forms" working group, led by Professor John A. Nyakatura. Her research interests include biodiversity, evolution and functional morphology.

She has supported the "Morphology and History of Forms" working group as a student assistant since January 2018. In this role, she is responsible for the organisation and digital preservation of digital information and data (CT scans, surface scans, high-speed videos, etc.).
