The performance lecture Krankenzimmer Nr. 8 embeds different texts about living and healing, about dying and killing: In addition to text samples of the »author-physicians« Dr. Anton Tschechow, Dr. Michail Bulgakow, Dr. Louis-Ferdinand Céline and Dr. Georg Büchner, the play is based on interviews with concentration camp medical practitioners and victims. Singing accompanied by cello provides for a connecting element between texts that are read as well as performed.
