Henning R. Horstmann began his career as a digital artist in the development of interactive video games. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design Kiel in 2011. Current employment as industrial designer specialising in rail transportation in the Berlin-based agency büro+staubach. He began developing design tools and pursuing a Master’s degree in Interaction Design at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin in 2016.
As a member of the Hybrid Knowledge Interaction project, Henning R. Horstmann focuses on the potential of VR/AR as design tools. Central to his work is the study and development of principles of interaction in the context of the design process of three-dimensional constellations. Furthermore, he contributes his experience in the use of real-time visualisation technologies in the working group »Unity«.
Teaching
Short workshops concentrating on the semester student projects of the product design programme at the Weißensee Academy of Art. The purpose of the workshops was to develop technical skills in product visualisation using Keyshot and Cinema 4D, as well as developing a sensibility for image design and scenographical principles.
