Laura Windisch studied Art History and Cultural Sciences in Freiburg,
Karlsruhe, Rome, and Berlin. She completed her dissertation on Anna de’ Medici
in 2016, focusing on the relationship between art, power, and space in Florence
around 1700. She was an Associated Member of the SNF research project »The
Interior. Art, Space, and Performance« at the University of Bern.
From 2012 to 2016 she worked as a Research Associate with Prof. Bredekamp,
Chair of Medieval and Modern Art History of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Her research interests are political iconography, Italian Baroque art, and collection
history.
She began her current post as Research Associate at the Humboldt Forum in the Berlin Palace in 2016.
