Peter Frensch

Peter Frensch is Professor of Psychology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His research is concerned with the many-faceted processes of human learning, e.g. how the awareness of regular events in our environment evolves. Since 2007, he has been one of the speakers of the German Research Foundation- (DFG)-funded research group »Conflicts as signals in cognitive systems«.

Research fields

Implicit learning and memory, the function of language in the control of action, the role of representations of the anticipated effects of action in action control, cognitive skill acquisition and problem solving, computer modelling for learning and knowledge representation.
