Séverine Marguin gained her PhD in the Sociology of Work and Sociology of Art from Leuphana University of Lüneburg and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris with a thesis on »Artists’ Collectives in Paris and Berlin«. Between 2015 and 2018 she held a postdoc position in the Excellence Cluster »Image Knowledge Gestaltung« at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where she was based in the project »ArchitecturesExperiments« and conducted experimental field research on the effect of space on research practice. From 2017 to 2018 she also worked on the Einstein Research Project »Autonomy and Functionalisation« and carried out collaborative quantitative discourse research on Berlin artists’ magazines. Since May 2018 she has led the Method Lab in Collaborative Research Centre 1265 »Re-Figuration of Spaces« at the Technische Universität Berlin.
